Dylan Speck is a Shareholder at Ramey Chandler Schein, PC, where he concentrates his practice on personal injury litigation arising from both land-based and maritime incidents throughout Texas and the Gulf Coast. He has extensive experience handling cases involving wrongful death, survival actions, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, and a wide range of liability claims, including premises and products liability.
Dylan primarily defends oilfield operators and offshore service companies in high-stakes litigation in both state and federal courts. His work regularly involves complex matters governed by general maritime law, the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA), the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
A native Houstonian, Dylan earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University. Prior to attending law school, he gained industry experience working for an offshore services company. He distinguished himself academically as a member of the Order of the Lytae and was consistently named to the Dean’s List. Dylan earned five CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and received several merit-based scholarships, including the Howard Warren Scholarship, the Hyman L. Slohm Memorial Scholarship, and the Fred Parks Faculty Scholarship. He went on to graduate magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law.
