Virginia Willford Associate Attorney

Virginia Williford has been practicing law in Texas since 1986, focusing primarily on personal injury defense. She brings nearly four decades of litigation experience to her practice, having successfully tried approximately 100 cases throughout her career. Her areas of expertise include automobile and trucking accidents, defamation, foodborne illness claims, premises liability, workers’ compensation, and first-party insurance disputes.

Ms. Williford earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1981, graduating with a double major in Pre-Law and Public Administration. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1986. During law school, she distinguished herself in advocacy, winning first place in the prestigious Spurgeon E. Bell Moot Court competition in 1985. She was also selected for the highly competitive Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, which went on to place third nationally.

Throughout her career, Ms. Williford has developed extensive experience working with medical and accident reconstruction experts and managing complex litigation from inception through trial.

In addition to her legal accomplishments, Ms. Williford is proficient in French and has studied Czech at Charles University (Univerzita Karlova) in Prague. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Litigation Section.

Fred L. Shuchart Shareholder

Fred is a shareholder at Ramey, Chandler, Schein, PC.  He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University in Economics and German where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He attended Washington University School of Law and was inducted into the "Order of the Coif" and the "Order of the Barrister" upon graduation. Fred started his legal career in St. Louis and was part of the legal team for the longest running jury trial in American jurisprudence, Kemner v. Monsanto.

Fred has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list (by Thompson Reuters) in the area of Insurance Coverage from 2007 to present and was named as a member of Super Lawyer's Blue Ribbon panel in 2015.  He was named as a top lawyer in Insurance Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale Hubbell in 2013 and 2014.

When Fred is not in the office or the courtroom, he travels throughout the country presenting seminars on coverage and extra-contractual issues to his clients. Fred participates in the Houston Bar Association’s “Teach Texas” program which teaches 7th graders about the Texas and Federal Court Systems. Fred also teaches two insurance courses at South Texas College of Law Houston.

Fred is licensed to practice law in the States of Texas, Missouri and Illinois along with all Federal District Courts in Texas and the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Terence Anderson Associate Attorney

Terence graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration with honors and from the University of Virginia School of Law. After graduating from the University of Texas, he worked in public accounting as an auditor. Terence started his legal career as in house counsel for a Fortune 500 company where he counseled on personal injury, general torts, breach of contract and general litigation matters. He wrote, taught continuing insurance education courses, and drafted numerous coverage opinions. Terence has represented individuals and companies in the areas of general premises liability, implied warranties, contractual disputes, general torts, and deceptive trade practices. John Elwood Shareholder

John is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of courtroom experience.  This includes trials in state and federal court.  He has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1999, a special distinction achieved by less than 2% of the lawyers practicing in Texas. Travis Grosscope Associate Attorney

Travis Grosscope graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music with a focus on Vocal Studies. While at Baylor, Travis spent much of his time performing with various ensembles, but also served on the Baylor Student Government and as a staff member of two different churches in Waco.

During his time in Waco, Travis developed a love for sports and entertainment law that led him to New Orleans to pursue a law degree at Tulane University, which boasts the leading sports law program in the country. There, he became heavily involved in the Tulane Sports Law Society and the Tulane Pro Basketball Negotiation Competition as co-chair of the board, which he helped grow from infancy into the nationally recognized competition it is today. Travis also clerked for a commercial litigation firm and completed an externship with the National Labor Relations Board during his years at Tulane. Nick Pucillo Associate Attorney

Nick Pucillo graduated cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Certificate in Business. During his time at UT, Nick was involved in numerous student organizations and spent a summer studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. After graduation, Nick spent a year working for a criminal defense attorney, which is when he decided to pursue a career in the legal profession. Nick moved back home to Houston, Texas to attend law school and graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in the top twenty five percent of his class. While attending law school, Nick clerked for a federal judge at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, an appellate judge at the Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas, a commercial litigation firm, and a bankruptcy firm.
