Our firm represents clients in response to claims including violations of the Texas Insurance Code and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of contract, breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing, “Stowers” claims and “Soriano” issues. In addition to representing insurance companies in lawsuits arising out of first and third-party claims, we frequently counsel clients about proper claim handling procedures to avoid extra contractual exposure. Our pre-litigation services are extensive – analyzing claim files and opinions, conducting Examinations Under Oath, invoking appraisal provisions and assisting with settlement negotiations or pre-litigation mediation.
