About Our Firm

Highly-skilled work, informed by experience and performed with integrity, defines our practice of law.

Bob Ramey and Brian Chandler established Ramey & Chandler, P.C. in 1998. Following the addition of Jack McKinley in June 2000 and Nick Zito in May, 2001, Ramey, Chandler, McKinley & Zito, P.C. was established. Wade Quinn joined the firm in October 2009. On January 1, 2012, we became Ramey, Chandler, Quinn & Zito, P.C.

The firm’s seven shareholders have a combined 200 years of legal experience, with over 600 jury trial verdicts and 50 appellate arguments. We have tried cases to verdict in literally every area in which our firm practices in counties throughout the vast state of Texas. While the amounts in controversy vary from very low to extraordinarily high, because of the complex legal issues and unpredictability of economic and non-economic damages, our focus is on consistency for every case, for every client.

With the exception of two, the average number of years in practice for the firm’s associates is 15 years. The firm’s lawyers and staff members understand and respect “client dynamics” with their subtleties and characteristics for managing claims or litigation files, which accounts for the longstanding business relationships we have forged with so many of our clients. Everyone at the firm embraces the notion that we are a service-oriented and results driven law firm. We strive to work with our clients and their insureds to develop insight, methods and strategies to resolve matters as swiftly and economically as possible.

The hub of our practice is in Houston but we have cases pending in every quadrant of the state. Our firm’s brand is that of trial lawyers focusing primarily in insurance defense with an emphasis on transportation litigation, products liability, premises liability, professional liability, commercial litigation, first party bad faith litigation, as well as intricate insurance coverage opinions and appeals. The last twenty years have slipped by quickly, but during those years we have been privileged to serve citizens in Houston, neighboring counties and others across the State of Texas and look forward to doing so long into the future.
